Registration
It is completely free to view the DPS On-Line Gallery but to upload images onto the Gallery you will need to be a full member of The Disabled Photographers Society. To Register, please send an email to the Webmaster.
You will need to provide an active and current email address and your DPS membership number. This helps us to keep the gallery secure and all email addresses are kept completely confidential and cannot be viewed by anybody else.
You will have to choose a username - Most people use their own names.
You then need to choose a login password - make sure its one you can remember.
Uploading images
To upload images you will first need to create an album.
First make sure you are logged into the gallery.
You create an album via "the Create / order my albums" button, it is in the row of buttons just below the other links.
When the next page opens up click "new" and then in the box below that replace the words "New Album" with whatever you want to call your album.
Then just click on "Apply Modifications" to complete the process. Repeat as necessary to create any other new albums you want to use.
Once you have created an album or two you can then upload some images
You must be logged in to upload images.
You upload images via the "Upload file" link which is in the top row of links on the gallery home page.
Clicking that link will open a page with 5 boxes with a browse button next to each of them.
Start at the top box and work your way down, click "browse" to find the image on your computer
If you only want to upload one or two image's just leave the rest of the boxes blank.
When you have selected your images click "continue" at the bottom of the page.
File sizes are limited, to save space on the servers. They must be smaller than 400 kb and no bigger than 1200 pixels on the longest edge.
Placing the images into your albums
When you have uploaded your images a page will then open that says, "upload successful"
Click on "continue"
The next page is where you can give your images a title, and any relevant information and then select an albums to put them into.
If you don't put them into an album they are automatically deleted from the site memory and you will have to upload them again.
You can edit any of the details and which album your images are in via the "Modify my Albums " link and page (bottom row of buttons)
Now you can sit back and admire your work and let others do the same.
If you have any problems or difficulty with the gallery you can email me directly at: dpsforum-gallery@yahoo.com
And I will do all I can to help.
